Investment in New Machinery

This month, we've just taken delivery of some new machinery which will really enhance our joinery capabilities in the workshop. We have ordered an Italpresse 3.0mtr guillotine and veneer press to replace our 2.4mtr set.

Tee Time

Some of the team here have recently been involved in two friendly (albeit competitive) golfing events. In September, we played once again in the Royal Warrant holders annual Dewar Quaich Tournament which pits English members against Scottish.

Behind the scenes - BBC Midlands Today

N.E.J. Stevenson invited BBC news programme 'Midlands Today' to see the construction of the Diamond Jubilee chests at our workshops. Whilst there, they were given a better understanding of the fundamental reason behind the nature of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust Appeal, and got to meet Liz Monk, one of the scholars who have already benefitted from QEST funding.

Furniture & Cabinetmaking Magazine

Neil was recently approached by the Guild of Master Craftsmen to contribute a story for the forthcoming edition of their specialist magazine, Furniture & cabinetmaking. The editor proposed that Neil would talk candidly about his progression from leaving school and gaining his first commercial experiences (one of which almost had disastrous consequences in Indonesia), to the position he occupies now, some 27 years after starting his own business.
